A local guide to Newport, Shropshire
Newport is a market town in north-east Shropshire, sitting between Telford, Stafford and Market Drayton. It has a High Street worth walking, a canal, centuries of history around St Nicholas' Church — and, until now, no single place to find out what's actually going on.
My Newport is being built to fix that: one website covering events in Newport, Shropshire, local news, and a searchable directory of the independent shops, pubs, cafés and tradespeople that make the town what it is. Free for residents, and built to send trade to businesses on our own doorstep rather than out of town.
