Families across Shropshire can once again step into the world of the much-loved Christmas film and climb aboard THE POLAR EXPRESS™ for a magical journey to the North Pole.

Hosted by Telford Steam Railway, the experience brings the magic of the 2004 film to life with an immersive theatrical train ride packed with familiar characters, festive entertainment and plenty of Christmas magic.

And yes — pyjamas are absolutely encouraged!

🎄 A Magical Journey to the North Pole#

The experience begins before you even board the train, with festive entertainment helping to set the scene for your Christmas adventure.

Once aboard THE POLAR EXPRESS™, you’ll be transported into the world of the film as the Conductor, Singing Chefs and other familiar characters bring the story to life.

Passengers can expect plenty of interaction, singing and festive fun as the train makes its way towards the North Pole.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy a delicious cookie and hot chocolate, before the excitement builds as you approach Santa’s village.

Then comes the moment everyone has been waiting for…

Santa Claus boards the train! 🎅

Santa will meet the passengers and present everyone with the First Gift of Christmas — a Silver Sleigh Bell, creating a special keepsake for children and families to take home.

✨ But the Magic Doesn’t End There#

After arriving back at Telford Steam Railway, the Christmas experience continues with the Christmas Workshop.

Families can explore the festive surroundings, take photographs beside THE POLAR EXPRESS™, experience the Naughty or Nice Scanner, enjoy a snowball fight and discover iconic elements from the film — including the famous Hot Chocolate Machine.

It’s designed to be much more than simply a train ride; it’s an immersive Christmas experience that families can enjoy together.

🚂 Standard or Premium Class?#

Visitors can choose between Standard and Premium Class tickets.

Both classes enjoy the same theatrical performance, hot chocolate, cookies and the First Gift of Christmas from Santa.

Premium passengers also receive a limited-edition THE POLAR EXPRESS™ ceramic mug, together with a gift bag, making it a particularly appealing option for collectors and fans of the film.
